    Hello!
I was very excited and happy to have known that there exists a Network to celebrate the life and work of Dr. Torrance. May I know if the Network is still active as I have not seen any activity beyond 2008. I will be happy to see this as Network most active.
    Warmly

We look forward to talking with you again about maintaining the Torrance Legacy Network. You can also see how the network has expanded to the Torrance Legacy Awards at the Torrance site on our regular website.
    Thank you for your note,
    Betty Carroll

    M.K.-

Thank you for your enthusiastic comment. Yes it has been some time since anyone has contributed to the Torrance Legacy blog. When it was first created, Bee Bleedorn was going to prepare content on an ongoing basis, but I believe other projects may have slowed the progress and eventually nothing more was added to it.

We continue to write about Torrance on our educational blog (http://ststesting.wordpress.com/category/gifted-education/). 2010 was an eventful year for this blog because of the release of Garnet Millar’s 50 year follow up book, /The Power of Creativity/ and because the summer article in /Newsweek Magazine/, /The Creativity Crisis/.

I’ve logged into Skype (betty_carroll_sts) and invited you as a contact if perhaps you think you’d like to chat more about possibly contributing to the Torrance Legacy blog.

I am currently using Dr. Torrance’s TTCT for part of my doctoral research and came accross this blog while on a tangent during my lit review. I wish I had known about him years ago and share many of his views as principal at an arts/ multiple intelligences school. I am so happy to have a new path to explore!

More about Dr. Torrance’s work can be found on the STS website. Specifically, STS’ Gifted Education pages or on the Torrance Legacy website. You may also be interested in Garnet Millar’s book, Power of Creativity Results of the 50-Year Follow-Up to the Torrance Longitudinal Study of Creative Behavior.
